How Will We Operate Safely?
InnerVision will be operating exclusively out of East Passyunk until our new Rittenhouse location is ready to open. We currently do not have a date for the opening of the new Rittenhouse location. We have devised an operating plan that allows us to help our patients and customers while keeping our staff, customers, and community safe and healthy. Please take the time to read the key points of our elaborate safety plan which we will strictly adhere to:
- We are giving one-hour appointments for every customer to be in the store without other customers present. This allows for maximum social distancing and focuses on combating the main way of virus transmission- being around other people. The hour can be used to shop for new glasses, have an eye exam or both. (We have designated a few hours per week for “exam only appointments” which will be 30 minutes each)
- You can bring one person with you to help select your new glasses.
- We have installed a remote door locking system so the optician can unlock front door from an app on their phone when you arrive.
- Upon arrival, you will be required to apply hand sanitizer, gloves, masks, and shoe covers. These items will be supplied to you.
- The glass doors have been removed from our display cases to reduce unnecessary touching and you will access the frames on your own. Our optician will still be able to help style you.
- All frames that you try on will be disinfected in Barbicide after you are finished with them (Barbicide has been approved for efficacy against Human Coronavirus, including COVID-19 by third party independent labs).
- Unfortunately, you will not be permitted to use our restroom.
- The optician will be able to adjust your glasses and will use rubbing alcohol to disinfect the frames and lenses before returning them for you to try on.
- For payments, you will read aloud your credit card information to the optician who will type the information directly in to the credit card processor (credit card & itemized receipts, as well as prescriptions, will be emailed).
- The optometry office will be cleaned thoroughly with disinfecting cleaner at the beginning, end, and in between each appointment.
- The optometrist will use a head shield, mask, and gloves during the duration of your eye or contact lens exam.
- Air filtration systems will be in both the exam room and the showroom.
- All orders will either be shipped to you or picked up at the new InnerVision Workshop. The workshop does not require an appointment and can be accessed by InnerVision customers as well as anyone else for pickups, repairs, adjustments, and drop-offs.
